Special prosecutor appointed in Montrose DA case

MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) - A district attorney from western Colorado has been arrested, accused of unlawful sexual contact and indecent exposure.
Myrl Serra is the top prosecutor in for the 7th Judicial District, which is based in Montrose and covers six western counties. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers' office said Serra was arrested Thursday morning but it wasn't clear where he's being held.
A woman who answered the phone at his home declined comment when asked about the allegations. An attorney from Suthers' office has taken over Serra's duties
as district attorney. Another lawyer from the attorney general's office will also serve as special prosecutor to handle the case against Serra.
Details of the case against Serra have been sealed.
