The foundation is opening its doors to the public Tuesday to view its new welcome center. Along with the new welcome center, there is a new exhibit called the "Science on a Sphere". Visitors can view planets, moons, ocean temperatures, and even facebook connectivity patterns.
The project was funded by Northrup Grumman and organizers say, it's more than just a pretty sight. "The real heart of this is curriculum taught by master level teachers. Lecture plus hands on activities that are based on standards that teachers are required to teach in this state. So it's a real boost to classroom teachers."
The Welcome center is open every Tuesday and Thursday and the first Saturday of every month. It also features American and Russian space suits, a lunar rover, and more. For any information on the exhibit or welcome center, click here.
