Sox win in extra innings in Tacoma

Tacoma, WA - The Tacoma Rainiers came up short in a 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Colorado Springs Sky at Cheney Stadium on Tuesday night.

With the game tied at 4-4 in the top of the 14th inning, Colorado Springs catcher Jordan Pacheco doubled to right field, driving home Mike Paulk for the go-ahead run that eventually sent Tacoma to a series-opening loss.

The Rainiers (33-40) return to action Wednesday night to play the second game of the club's four-game set with Colorado Springs.
