The Colorado Springs Sky Sox defeated the Las Vegas 51s 10-4 to win their fourth straight game Sunday afternoon in front of 2,254 fans at Security Service Field.
Matt Pagnozzi provided the key knock for the Sox, a three-run double in the fourth inning to put the Sox ahead comfortably 6-1 behind starter Greg Reynolds.
Reynolds (2-0, 2.25) came through with his second straight strong outing, allowing one run on six hits over six innings with four strikeouts.
Alfredo Amezaga extended his team-high hitting streak to 12 games with a solo shot in the first. He finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Matt Macri added a two-run home run, his second of the year, in the seventh inning to put the Sox ahead 9-1.
Las Vegas starter Brad Mills (1-2, 2.67) took the loss allowing six runs on nine hits over five innings.
With the win, the Sky Sox reach the .500 mark for the first time since April 10th at 9-9. The loss drops the 51s to 9-9 on the year.
The Sox will look to win their second straight series with a win on Monday. RHP Billy Buckner (0-0, 5.65) takes the hill for the Sox. He'll be opposed by LHP Luis Perez (1-0, 7.20) for the 51s. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 PM MT.
