Southern Colorado homes remain without gas

People in Walsenburg and Aguilar will soon be feeling the heat again.

The broken gas line is fixed, however as of Thursday afternoon it's being re-pressurized to make sure it is feeding all homes impacted by the leak. That process is expected to continue into Friday morning. Then, the system will be checked again and if all is safe, utility crews will begin to re-light pilot lights.

Gas will be restored starting with the southern end of the city and move northward. If you are not home when crews arrive, they will leave a tag on your door with a number to call to have your pilot light relit.
