TODAY: Thanks to abundant sunshine today we'll see warmer temps and more melting! High in Colorado Springs 48...52 for Canon City and 53 for Pueblo.
TONIGHT: There is a weak storm on the way so we'll expect increasing clouds overnight locally. The extra cloud cover will keep temps from getting as cold. 20's for the Springs, Canon and Falcon. Pueblo in the upper teens. Snow will increase across the northern and central mountains as that storm moves into the northwestern half of Colorado. Ski areas could see a range of 2-6" by Friday afternoon...but as much as 6-12" is possible for the higher elevations of northwestern Colorado.
VALENTINE'S DAY: That next Pacific storm means that Cupid could have to contend with getting snow covered wings! Snow will still be flying in the mountains and will become more likely here in eastern Colorado after the lunch hour. An inch or two of snow will be possible in places like Teller and El Paso County as well as around the mountains west of I-25. Be prepared to keep your sweet heart warm tomorrow. Temps will be in the 30's in and around the Springs...maybe as much as only 40 in Pueblo. Teller County and mountains temps will stay in the 20's!
FRIDAY: Staying chilly with some light lingering snow flurries possible. Better chance for snow will be early in the day...by afternoon we'll likely see partly cloudy skies with temps very close to highs on Valentine's Day.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Plenty of Sunshine and much weather expect both days. Highs will make it to the lower 50's in Colorado Springs and upper 50's for Pueblo and the eastern plains. Sunday it will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and even warmer still with max temps in the middle 50's in Colorado Springs with some temps on the plains will be close to reaching at least 60 degrees! Here comes another storm and that means by Sunday night some of the snow in the mountains might make it close to home and the mountains west of I-25...including the Teller County and the Rampart Range.
MONDAY: At least a 30% chance of snow across the News 5 viewing area with much colder temps. Highs by afternoon will only make it into the upper 30's for the Springs, Pueblo, Canon and Trinidad.
TUESDAY: Sunny skies again and warmer weather returns. Should be about 6-8 degrees warmer compared to Monday.
