WASHINGTON (AP) - With time running out, lawmakers are finger pointing about the lack of progress on averting tax hikes and deep spending cuts set to begin next month.
Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman says he believes it's more likely that the deadline won't be met.
Wyoming Sen. Jon Barrasso, a member of the GOP leadership, agrees.
He faults the White House, not the Republicans who rejected House Speaker John Boehner's alternative.
