A soldier returning from Afghanistan to his home near Buffalo, New York made his daughter's day at school.
Sergeant William Taylor is a bronze star recipient and father of six.
He says he had scary moments clearing roads of bombs in Afghanistan, but nothing beats the moment at Windom elementary in Orchard Park, when he walked into the cafeteria, his 10-year-old daughter was surprised, overwhelmed, and crying. Everyone cheered.
Reporter Question: Do you feel special? "Very," said Victoria Taylor. Q: why do you feel special?
"Because I actually get to see my dad after 12 whole months," she said.
Q: How bad was it for you not seeing dad?
"Very. Seeing my littlest brother not growing up for 12 months, and he can do a bunch of stuff now that he didn't know he could do before," Taylor said.
Mom was obviously happy too, to have the whole family together again.
