These days information moves quickly, and there's a demand for it from Haiti.
Compassion International has been really focusing on internet social networking during one of the first major disasters since the popularity of many major sites' has really boomed. It's proving to be a good way to get information out through the day.

"Social media itself, even when you're sitting behind the computer at the office is not 9 to 5," says Chris Giovagnoni who is working on social networking for Compassion International.
These days many people can pick up that info on the go.
Having an Iphone was a big help to Compassion employee Dan Woolley, who used it while stuck in the hotel Montana in Haiti for 65 hours.
"Through that he had information on how to save his life and treat his injuries," Giovagnoni says.
Now Dan is back at home in Southern Colorado, using the same device to give updates to friends and followers on how he's recovering from his injuries.
Compassion has several people on the ground, like former News First 5 employee Tim Glenn. Glen is posting on several sites for Compassion from Haiti.
Instead of the old press release, this seems on its way to becoming a new form of public relations.
"It's a conversation and we don't have control of it," Giovagnoni says.
It's something they only see getting better.
Giovagnoni explains, "The first time that you do something you're going to make mistakes so you can learn from them."
