Soap box derby race scheduled Saturday

Pueblo's annual Soap Box Derby competition happens Saturday at 4th and Joplin.
Thirty six young people will battle their gravity powered cars for a chance to go the national championships in Akron, Ohio. Two local competitors will win a trip to the Ohio competition.
There are 450 soap box races held around the country. Racers are age 8 to 17 and can hit speeds of 30 miles an hour or more.
The race starts at 7:30 and runs until 3:30.
