Snowfall highlights so far

Strong northerly and northwesterly winds provided the perfect lift for some locallized snowfall accumulations Saturday night and Sunday morning. Many of the heavier snowfalls were accompanied by thunder and lightning (about 80% of the storms with heavy snow are).  Here are a few of the more impressive totals.

11"  near Wolf Creek Pass
6 1/2 - 8"  Gleneagle
7.5"  Northeast of Monument/ Woodland Park
6.5"  Northeast of the US Airforce Academy
5"    Southwest of Monument/North of Black Forest
