Snow on the way

A storm that will bring snow to Colorado is on the way, and it likely will mean snow for much of Southeastern Colorado.

Our Wednesday will start with sunshine. Clouds will begin building after 2 PM across the area. Snow could begin falling as early as 8-10 PM tonight in Teller County. Around 12-2 AM Thursday, the snow will begin falling high on the Palmer Divide from Monument to Calhan. After 2 AM, that snow will spread into Colorado Springs and even Pueblo by around 4 AM. It could mean an icy Thursday morning commute.

Snowfall totals will be 1-3" for most areas around Colorado Springs. Less than 2" is expected around Pueblo. Northern El Paso County from Monument to Calhan could see 2-6", with 5-9" possible across the higher elevations in Teller County. Up to a foot could fall in the high elevations of the Wet Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
