Snow & wind continue

White out conditions were observed in Trinidad this morning, but conditions are beginning to improve around Trinidad around 9:30.

Snow, occasionally heavy, continues to fall along the I-25 corridor from Walsenburg to north of Colorado Springs. Heaviest totals, up 18" locally, will be in the Wet Mountains. In the Sagre de Cristo Mountains and the Rampart Range, snow fall totals will generally be up to a foot. Along I-25, including Colorado Springs and Pueblo, snow accumulation of 2-5" with locally higher amounts is expected.

The snow is accompanied by gusty winds up to 60 mph. Combined, the snow and wind will reduce visibility to less that a quarter-mile. A blizzard warning continues for counties along I-25 until 6 PM Tuesday.
