The Colorado Department of Public Health has issued a Smoke Health Advisory for the San Luis Valley northeast to Colorado Springs effective until 4 p.m.
Smoke from the Wallow Fire southeast of Show Low Arizona has moved into portions of Colorado. It has lowered visibilities from Alamosa to Colorado Springs. Individuals with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young and the elderly should limit prolonged exertion in these areas. Fires are also burning in Las Animas County and Huerfano County.
The warning states if visibility is less than five miles because of smoke, the smoke is considered unhealthy. You might want to remain indoors.
