Small businesses trying to keep up in big shopping week

Ready or not; with all the sales, one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year is here.
"It's partly fun when you can find what you want, it's stress when you can't," says Faith Williams, talking about shopping the week of Thanksgiving.
The pressure is on for the store owners too.
"For our store it's one of the better days out of the year," says Bill Kessler, who owns Out West in Old Colorado City. "Maybe 10 to 15, 20 percent of our inventory; it just depends on the business."
Kessler's store isn't one of the big retail chains; he won't have people camped out front, but it's still a big weekend for him. His plan for trying to keep up: stay unique.
"Try to see what the customer wants is what we try to go with," explains Kessler; it's what he's done since the store opened up in 2004.
"When we started out here we started selling Aspen furniture," Kessler recalls. "We went from furniture and home accessories to jewelry and home décor."
And Kessler's store is still evolving. He's already looking up new inventory for next season; trying to stay ahead on products you can't find in the big stores.
Kessler hopes that same technique will carry him through this weekend.
