The storm doesn't seem like it's letting up any time soon, and it looks like a winter wonderland on this Wednesday in October.
It's still extremely cold outside and the temperature dropped from 32 degrees to 28 degrees within a few hours.
As for the roads, this morning they were wet and slick, but traffic moved nicely along I-25. This afternoon, roads continue to be wet and slick, and visibility is just fine.
C-DOT tweeted earlier that roads may look wet, but icy conditions may certainly exist especially on bridges and on the overpasses. This can lead to some scary conditions especially for some first time drivers. One parent we spoke with told us some advice he had for his 17-year-old daughter.
Jay Guhlke says, "I hope that she drives sensibly and slowly and starts to stop a little bit before normal so that she doesn't run through a stop light or a stop sign and hit somebody."
With the slippery roads conditions over the course of the morning. News 5 has heard of multiple crashes, slides off, and accidents across our region.
So, if you do have to take to the roads today, just be extremely careful.
