A Colorado Springs teenager accused of fatally shooting his brother and wounding his mom claims he was sleepwalking at the time and didn't act intentionally.
Fourteen-year-old Daniel Gudino faces the possibility of adult first-degree murder charges for the 2009 shootings at his family's home.
If convicted, Gudino would be the youngest person convicted of first-degree murder in Colorado in more than a century.
On Thursday, Gudino's defense called a psychiatrist who testified that Gudino was sleepwalking when he shot his mother and brother. Dr. John Hardy said Gudino has parasomnia and thought he was shooting at ghosts.
The weeklong hearing continues Friday to determine whether Gudino should be charged as an adult or child.
