Sky Sox lose to Bees

The Salt Lake Bees scored thirteen runs over the first three innings, as the Bees coasted to a 15-7 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Sunday afternoon. The Bees took the lead in the first inning on a run scoring double by Mark Trumbo and an RBI single by Paul McAnulty. They would add two more in the second on a home run by Peter Bourjos and then broke the game open with a nine run third with all runs scoring after there were two outs.

All nine members of the Salt Lake starting lineup had at least one hits with Bourjos leading the way with four hits, inclduing two homers, four runs and four runs batted in. McAnulty had three hits and drove in two runs, while Terry Evans added two hits, including a home run, with three RBI. Luis Figueroa and Trumbo each chipped in a pair of hits and two RBI. Tim Kiely (3-2) took advantage of offensive explosion, as he picked up the win. Kiely allowed seven runs, five earned, in the fifth and sixth after four scoreless innings to open the game.
