WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Chris Carter hit two three-run home runs as Sacramento topped Colorado Springs 7-4 on Sunday afternoon at Raley Field.

Carter, ranked by Baseball America as the Oakland A's No. 1 prospect, now has eight home runs and 28 RBIs on the season. His first home run, a line drive to left, gave Sacramento a 3-2 lead in the third inning, and his second blast, also to left field, put Sacramento ahead 6-2 in the fifth.

River Cats starting pitcher Vin Mazzaro (2-1) allowed two runs over 6.0 innings, striking out eight and walking two. Sam Demel pitched a flawless ninth inning to record his fourth save of the season.

Also flawless on Sunday afternoon was former River Cat Dallas Braden, who pitched the 19th perfect game in Major League Baseball history in the Oakland A's 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at the Oakland Coliseum. Braden pitched with the River Cats in 2007 and 2008, compiling a 5-4 record and 2.68 ERA.
