Investigators have confirmed a skull found in rugged terrain north of Canon City belongs to a woman who was murdered.

The Teller County Coroner says the skull belongs to Rebecca Magallenes, 44, who disappeared after her shift ended at St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City in November of 2009.

Her torso was found in Custer County last year.

Her boyfriend, John Paul Williams was arrested last July and faces 1st Degree Murder charges. At a hearing two months ago, a judge in Canon City determined Williams was not competent to stand trial. He should be re-evaluated next month.
