Imagine sitting at the controls of the sleek, Lockheed P-80 "Shooting Star" plane. It was America's first operational jet fighter to have its engine integrated within the main fuselage.
Your chance to step into the P-80 and back-in-time is this Saturday, when the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum holds an Open Cockpit Day featuring the Shooting Star.
The museum is located near the Pueblo Airport. Saturday hours are 10 am - 4 pm.
Hint: drop by the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce to pick up a 2-for-one coupon.
