Sims and Lynch plead not guilty

Two people charged in the death of a child in Monument last year have entered a not guilty plea.
Hanif Sims and Monique Lynch were bound over for trial last month. Lynch is accused of 1st Degree Murder, Sims is charged with Child Abuse Resulting in Death.
This afternoon both entered a plea of not guilty. They will ask that the cases be split, so they can be tried separately.
