The decorations at the mall have gotten their use for the year, now back to storage. However, putting them away doesn't put out the holiday feeling.
"We never lose the spirit at the mall. We go from one holiday to the next," explains Joe Culberson as he removes Christmas decorations from the mall.
For four years, Culberson has set up and taken down decorations, and he says the Christmas spirit is sticking around the mall.
For customers, walking the floors of the mall keeps Christmas on their thoughts, but getting back to shopping so quickly isn't what many had in mind.
"We got some clothes that weren't the right color, or the right size, and I know if you don't come right back in you don't have the selection," says shopper Cindy Knight.
"The crowd is definitely the least favorite part," says Jacob Watson, who was out doing some post-Christmas shopping. "It's packed everywhere you go."
For many, the days after the holiday create a new list, one for chores.
"Trading out some of the things we got and checking out some of the other deals," Knight explains.
It may be the best time to get things done.
"There's usually pretty good sales with the holiday ending, trying to get the last minute rush," says Watson. "Just trying to catch the best deals in this economy."
That's one holiday tradition, at least for this year, that's continuing past Christmas.
