GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Motorists taking too much advantage of free parking in shopping centers are getting the boot if they stay more than two hours.
The tire locks are being placed on cars in El Jebel and it costs $200 to get them removed. Other shopping centers are considering similar policies.
According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, property manager Neill Taylor says he is doing it to protect retailers who are upset over squatters using their facilities for long-term parking.
