Shooting suspects arrested after chase on I-25

What started as a shooting outside a Colorado Springs shopping center has ended with a crash on I-25 near mile marker 174. Colorado Springs Police say shots were fired this evening at a parking lot near Drennan and South Academy, no one was injured and the suspect vehicle quickly left the area. Shortly later a trooper spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle on I-25 near mile marker 159. The trooper followed the vehicle for nearly 20 miles waiting for assistance and finally attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle near mile marker 172. Troopers say the suspect driving the vehicle sped up and ended up crashing near mile marker 174. The driver then got out of the crashed car and ran from the area, authorities from multiple agencies are working to locate him. Four other people in the suspect vehicle, a 28-year-old woman, two 20-year-old men, and a 17-year old were all immediately taken into custody.

The Douglas County Sheriff's office has sent out a reverse 911 in the area of the crash to let resident know about the suspect who fled the crash scene.
