Shooting of three in Pueblo called "unusual"

Pueblo Police continued this afternoon to investigate the murder of a teenager overnight, with an ongoing search for evidence.

A 16-year-old suspect was arrested this morning, but so far his name hasn't been released.

A source at the Pueblo District Attorney's Office said the case was unusual and predicted more charges and possibly more suspects.

He confirmed the possible involvement of a 35-year-old married woman and said at mid-afternoon, warrants "are being executed as we speak."  Officers said the suspect called the woman several times after the shooting.

Marco Morales, 18, was shot at close range in the head and died shortly after.  Isaiah Chacon, 17, was shot 8 times.  David Lucero, 18, was shot three times and was able to make his way to a nearby house, where a Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputy lives.  Both Chacon and Lucero are now hospitalized.

Pueblo Police officers said the level of violence and the age of those involved was disturbing.  Police say the suspect does not have a criminal record.
