Sheriff's Deputies and K9 take three into custody

News First 5 has learned from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office that a second burglary has taken place in the 1300 block of Soaring Eagle Drive in Colorado Springs. The first burglary is currently under investigation from last Sunday the 15th.

At around 2:00 AM Saturday morning deputies were called to 1349 Soaring Eagle Drive and observed suspicious activity going on in the home. Deputies with a K9 ordered one suspect from the home, which complied and was taken into custody. It was learned that possibly two more suspects were hiding in the home and a K9 was sent in and found two men hiding.

Three men were taken into custody, 18 year old Joshua Molinar, 19 year old Jacob Schaffer and 29 year old Jose Mercado. Investigators with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office have not determined if the two burglaries are related and an investigation continues.
