Members of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Wildland Fire Crew have a couple of new tools available to help them better maneuver in the event of a wildfire. The county used a $20,000 donation from the El Pomar Foundation to buy these Utility Terrain Vehicles which can quickly bring people and equipment to firefighters on the front lines in challenging terrain.
A news release issued by the sheriff's office indicates the vehicles will also be used in field training and fire mitigation efforts as well.
