Sexually violent predator now living in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police are alerting the public about a sexually violent predator now living in the city.
Daniel Lawrence Murphy is registered at 3033 E. Platte Ave. #302. He is described as being a white male, 37 years old, 5'5" tall and 180 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Colorado Springs police say Murphy was convicted of first degree sex abuse in 2000 in Suffolk County, NY. He is also convicted of harassment and forcible touching.
Murphy is one of ten SVPs currently registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department who live in the area.
