Pueblo residents can now join those in Colorado Springs with easy access to Offender Watch, a comprehensive sex offender database.
At a news conference Thursday, Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor and Police Chief Jim Billings announced each organization had chipped in $3,500 to get Pueblo city and county residents access to the database.
It allows a resident to search for a registered sex offender within a couple of miles from their home. It also will send an email when a sex offender moves into the neighborhood.
El Paso County residents also have access to the database as well as some other Front Range counties.
