Scattered showers and storms are possible this afternoon mainly for areas in the Pikes Peak region including the Palmer Divide and then out over the Eastern Plains. A Slight Risk for severe weather is possible today for those areas with the main threat being large hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes. Isolated showers and storms are possible today for areas further south including Canon City, Pueblo, and the southern I-25 corridor.
Highs will be about 5 degrees above average today with winds becoming easterly around 5 to 15 mph.
The chance for showers and storms continues through the start of the new week. The best chance for rain across all of Southern Colorado looks to be Monday. A more hot and dry pattern returns to the region for the second half of the workweek.
