PAYSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say one of several Arizona wildfires has prompted a call for mandatory evacuations in the historic mining community of Crown King.

State Forest Division spokesman Cliff Pearlberg says the Gladiator Fire has damaged two buildings and is burning on about 300 acres in the Bradshaw Mountains, four miles north of Crown King. The town has about 350 residents.

Hotshot crews, air tankers and helicopters are also battling a fire in the Tonto National Forest about 20 miles south of Prescott. Officials say the Sunflower blaze -- the biggest in the state -- was first spotted Saturday morning and has grown to more than 4 square miles.

Smoke from both fires has been visible from Phoenix.
