Intersection reopens in El Paso County

At least two accidents shut down the intersection on North Powers near Wynoka this evening. It happened just after 5 p.m. According to State troopers, the lanes were all reopned by 7 p.m.
Troopers says a man fell asleep at the wheel while driving down Powers towards Palmer Park. His vehicle rolled across the median into the southbound lanes. The driver was taken to the hospital, but should be ok. He may be ticketed for careless driving.
There was another accident in that same area. We don't know how that one was caused yet.
There are no major injuries.
