Seven rescued in one day in Estes Park

ESTES PARK, Colo. (AP) - Rescuers had to rush to the aid of seven people in Rocky Mountain National Park on Tuesday.

That includes two inexperienced men from Nederland who mistakenly climbed part of a route designated for expert climbers only on the east face of Longs Peak. Another man had to be carried out after he suffered a serious leg injury while hiking near Lake Haiyaha

Park officials say about 50 rescuers were needed to respond to all of the calls for help.
