Sentence affirmed for Colo. prison gang founder

DENVER (AP) - One of the founders of a white supremacist prison gang in Colorado has been re-sentenced to 108 years in prison.

A Denver judge on Wednesday reaffirmed the 108-year sentence handed down for Benjamin Davis in 2007 for his 211 Crew activities behind bars. He had already been serving a 30-year sentence for robbery.

In February, the state appeals court ordered that a judge review whether the 38-year-old should serve the sentences back-to-back for 138 years total or 108 years, which might give Davis a chance at parole.

Davis told Judge William Robbins that he didn't kill anyone. Robbins wasn't moved. He said Davis hadn't shown any respect for the law or others and shouldn't be out on the streets in 40 or 50 years.

Another appeal is likely.
