Sen. Mark Udall visits Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq

Sen. Mark Udall has returned from a trip to assess the status of U.S.-led efforts in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.
Udall, a member of the Armed Services Committee, visited the three nations between Oct. 7 and Oct. 15. He plans to discuss the trip with reporters on Monday.
Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island also went on the trip. He's a member of the Intelligence Committee.
They met with U.S. Gen. David Petraeus, commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, the U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan as well as Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki.
