Semi engulfed in flames on I-25; 20 - 50 vehicles caught in crash

After a firey crash of a semi-tanker on I-25, near mile marker 253 (Johnson's Corner), Colorado State Patrol is responding to a multi-vehicle accident involving 20 - 50 vehicles.

Northbound I-25 lanes are closed at that area and crews don't expect it to reopen for five to seven hours.

Several people have been transported to the hospital. The Red Cross is responding as well to help stranded motorists and emergency responders.

State Patrol recommends that you avoid driving in inclement weather conditions.
