The Pueblo City-County Health Department confirms a second person has died over flu-related complications.
This is this is the second death to occur in Pueblo in just a matter of days.
Dr. Chris Nevin-Woods, with the health department, says the two people were in their 50's and had underlying health conditions.
"It's a worrisome year because we're seeing a difference in the distribution of ages," said Nevin-Wood. "We're seeing most of our cases between 24 and 64, where usually we see severe cases in the elderly and the very young."
The Pueblo City-County Health Department offers flu shots to people who are uninsured. You're asked to call ahead of time to schedule an appointment.
Parkview Medical Center will be holding a flu clinic on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m at the facility on 899 Industrial Blvd.
It costs $15, but it is free for Medicare B recipients.
