Search for missing baby going on in a landfill

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - FBI agents are searching a Kansas landfill in connection with the disappearance of a missing 10-month-old Missouri girl.

FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said Friday that investigators and Kansas City police were searching the Deffenbaugh Industries landfill in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee. She declined to discuss details.

Patton says this is the second time the agency has been at the landfill. Agents also searched the area Tuesday.

She says several areas have been searched more than once as authorities try to find out what happened to Lisa Irwin. Her parents say she was snatched from her crib sometime late Monday or early Tuesday. They are no longer talking to police.

Deffenbaugh Industries spokesman Tom Coffman says authorities
arrived at the landfill around lunchtime Friday. He says he knew few details.
