Search continues for shooting suspect

Police in Fountain are searching for an armed gunman suspected of shooting another man multiple times Friday night. Tabuari Bell, 31, has previous convictions from 2003 and 2004 on drug possession charges as well as criminal impersonation. He also goes by the alias "Smoke" and has a tattoo with lettering on his throat.

The shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. Friday at a home in 500 block of Harvest Moon Road. The victim was shot in the arm and had another bullet graze his face. He was taken to memorial hospital where he was treated and released.

Bell reportedly left the area on foot. Lt. Mike Hutchinson of the Fountain Police Department says search teams were assembled but weren't able to locate Bell.

"We definitely encourage folks to call the police department if you do see him and know him," Hutchinson said. "Don't approach him, just give us a call. Right now, we're still considering him armed and dangerous."

Anyone with information regarding Bell's whereabouts is encouraged to call the Fountain Police at 385-8555.
