DOUGLAS, Wyo. (AP) - The search continued today for a Converse County sheriff's deputy missing since he swam in to a swollen river to save a struggling girl.
Twenty-nine-year-old Bryan Gross has been missing since Thursday evening. He jumped in the North Platte River to assist a teenage girl, who survived.
The incident happened in Douglas, about 50 miles east of Casper. The river is higher than normal following heavy snows last winter.
An airplane donated by a local rancher has been used in the search.
