DENVER (AP) - Denver police and 50 FBI agents continue to search for a man suspected of abducting and sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl, who was later found at a gas station.
Denver's KUSA-TV reports that the foster mother of 27-year-old Bret Lee Luckett Thompson has been talking to investigators. The Aurora woman told KUSA that she doesn't know where he is.
Thompson is suspected of grabbing the girl from a Denver alley last week and driving away in a white van. The girl was found 90 minutes later at a gas station three miles away.
Authorities say they have received several tips and have notified police as far away as Louisiana, where he once lived.
