Science students set eyes to the sky

It's the law of gravity what goes up must come down, but today some students in Pueblo West learned that doesn't always go smoothly.

Advanced science students at Skyview Middle School launched rockets this afternoon. They built the rockets and set them off as part of physics experiment for Mr. Todd Seip's science class.

Seip later tweeted: "All launches successful - some landings not so much."

"I was a little worried that the parachute wasn't going to come out but since it did I was pretty happy," said Carter Ortiz, 8th grade.

"If you pack your parachute down too tight, it catches on fire and it's not going to make it," said Kyla Huntley 8th grade.

A lot of the rockets shot up more than 300 feet high.
