Walsenburg has no natural gas, schools closed

There is a broken gas line south of Walsenburg and right now there is no natural gas for the towns of Walsenbug and Gardener causing Huerfano School District RE-1 to be closed for the day.

Scott Eckhart, Information Tech Coordinator for the district, says there is construction in that area, though there is no official cause of the break.

No word on when school will reopen for the district.
