School children want your vote for new computers

Students at Patriot Elementary School at Fort Carson are asking for your vote, to help them win $100,000!

The school is participating in the Our School Needs contest put on by the internet search engine Bing.

School librarian Donna Sabala says they are hoping to use the money to buy video cameras and laptop computers that the students can use create and send video messages to their parents who are deployed overseas.

The school is located on post and nearly 95 percent of the students have parents who are serving in the military.

"Our project is not just for us," explains librarian Donna Sabala. "It is for the men and women who fight for our freedom every single day."

Click here to vote for the school. The contest requires participants filling out a brief registration form in order to vote. Only vote per account is permitted within a 24 hour period. The voting period ends on November 7.
