School bus accident on Ft. Carson

A school bus accident on Ft. Carson sent several students to the hospital Thursday afternoon. It happened around 12:35 p.m. near gate two.
Students from Mountain Side Elementary school were returning from a field trip, when school officials say a car made a u-turn and hit the front of the bus. Nine students and the bus driver were taken to Evans hospital at Ft. Carson as a precaution. Dave Roudebush, a spokesperson for the Fountain Ft. Carson school district says there were no life threatening injuries.
Roudebush says the school district used its automated dialer system to notify affected parents. Roudebush says a letter will be sent home to all parents on Friday.
A total of 39 students, two teachers and the bus driver were on the bus.
