A scholarship fund has been set up in honor of a Lewis Palmer High School student who was killed in a traffic accident over Spring Break.
Organizers of the Levi Patrick Memorial Scholarship Fund hope to award the first scholarships before graduation this school year.
An anonymous donor has pledged to match donations to the Levi Patrick Memorial Foundation dollar for dollar for the first $2,500 raised and up to $1,500 for the next $3,000 raised.
According to a statement released by the Levi Patrick Memorial Foundation, scholarships will be awarded two Lewis Palmer students (one male and one female) each year who best exemplify the qualities that Levi possessed.
Those qualities include a student's faith, leadership, and performance in both athletics and academics.
Donations will be accepted at the Integrity Bank & Trust, 1430 Cipriani Loop in Monument.
