The Salvation of Army of Pueblo is counting its blessings. Last week, they were desperate for toy and clothing donations--worried they wouldn't be able to help the 2,200 local children in need of help this Christmas. But they got so many donations, they're holding a free gift giveaway tomorrow--Dec. 22.
Today, the Salvation Army is giving out gifts to families who registered for help beginning back in Mid-October. They're handing out bikes, games, clothes, stuffed animals and much more to 780 families.
On Wednesday, Dec. 22, the Salvation Army will open its doors to anyone in the community who can't afford to buy gifts for their children this holiday season. Their building is located at 1625 S. Prairie Ave. in Pueblo. They will distribute gifts from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. (or until they run out of items). The giveaway is on a first come first serve basis, so you may want to show up early. They're asking adults to bring identification, and proof of their child's age.
