The Salvation Army was giving out Christmas cheer today in the form of bread, pie and coffee.
More than two thousand from around the area were fed throughout the day, spreading that cheer to those that need it most.
And for leaders with the group they say it's no shock that volunteers were stepping up to help out.
"I think it really makes the day for our volunteers. Because they come out on Christmas day and they're able to serve somebody and really make their day. The volunteers make it just a great day," said Salvation Army spokesman, Major Richard Larson.
Major Larson says they love doing this every year and hope even more will volunteer next year.
