Sales tax collections up slightly

Sales tax collections for February in Colorado Springs were up slightly from last year.
The city finance office reported tax collections increased by .83 percent from a year ago. Tax collections for the first two months of the year are up 2.4 percent when compared with last year at this time.
Taxes collected from business services were up 17 percent, grocery stores up 12 percent and building materials up 8 percent.
